“I think we’ve lost them,” the woman pants. Also trying to catch your breath, you turn to her. “It’s time to tell me what’s going on,” you say, exasperated. She looks at you, and you can see a hint of sadness in her eyes. “My name is Ignix. It’s hard to explain, so just do as I say.” She starts shaking the dust off her robes, staring at you before producing a single piece of chalk.
As she draws the outlines of an arcane circle, one of the guards whispers to her “Don’t, not now.” “We have no choice,” she responds, “We need to know where he hid it.” Stepping within, she closes her eyes and beckons to you. You step forward and Ignix begins to chant, her words filling the chamber.
She reaches out and touches your forehead. “No…Something’s wrong…Quick, get out!” Ignix screams. The room goes dark. “Come, follow,” the Voice intones.
